The King of QueensKevin James
Comedian Kevin James is the star and an executive producer of the show. His big break came in 1996 when he won at the Montreal Comedy Festival. He has performed standup comedy for about 11 years where he met Ray Romano. James’ television career started with a recurring role on Everybody Loves Raymond in 1997. The Long Island native was cast as the lead character on the King of Queens in 1998. James has also played in movies like Hitch, alongside Will Smith.

Leah Remini
Carrie Heffernan is Doug's strong and fiery wife. Before the show, Remini starred in Fired Up. The Brooklyn native has admitted that she has the worst sailor's mouth. Her Sicilian father and Jewish mother encouraged her to stay in school, but Leah dropped out at 14. Remini sold car insurance and worked as a waitress and telemarketer before being lured by Hollywood. Thanks to Remini’s sarcasm and good timing, she has emerged as an outstanding comic.

Jerry Stiller
Arthur Spooner is Doug’s father-in-law. Jerry and his wife Anne were part of "The Compass Players" (which later became Second City) and appeared countless times on the Ed Sullivan Show. Stiller is also known in Broadway where he has played numerous roles. After some years spent on the act with his wife, Stiller resurged with a recurring role as George Costanza's father Frank on Seinfeld. His character on the King of Queens is very similar to his role on Seinfeld. Jerry Stiller also had a role alongside his son, Ben Stiller, in the movie Zoolander.

Victor Williams
Deacon Palmer is Doug’s co-worker and good friend. He has appeared on many television shows, including his recurring role on "ER." Williams has also held roles in feature films. He is a former basketball player and stands 6' 6" tall.

Kevin James - The King of QueensPatton Oswalt
Spence Olchin is one of Doug Heffernan's good friends. Oswalt started doing stand up comedy in the summer of 1988. He has appeared in many films, including Zoolander, Starsky and Hutch, and Blade III. Oswalt has also enjoyed a successful writing career, including two years at MAD TV.

Gary Valentine
Danny Heffernan is Doug's less-than-ambitious cousin. Like Kevin James, Valentine also appeared at the Montreal Comedy Festival, launching his career as a comedian. He also had a role on the film Stuck on You.

Nicole Sullivan
Holly Shumpert is Arthur's dog walker. Born in New York City, Sullivan’s most recognizable work remains as an original cast member on MAD TV. The show became a huge hit and Nicole emerged as the breakout star. After she left MAD TV, Shumpert joined the cast of The King of Queens.
